CITY

I love to trawl the streets of a city looking for potential pictures, not the ones which every tourist of holidaymaker might take, another version of a well-known landmark or building. What I look for are those tableaus, the little insights which reveal the very essence at the heart of that particular city. Sometimes I find it in a face, at other times in a row of houses or rooftops. Sometimes it’s in a simple park bench or in graffiti daubed crudely on a wall. It’s the heartbeat, the soul of the city I’m looking for, not the glossy grandeur of the face the authorities want to present. I hope you enjoy these examples.
